The Oilers just weren't able to deliver and as promised, the team's best player was traded off. By 1996, the team was at its lowest. Game attendance was so low that one could actually hear conversations on the field from the stands. In 1997, the team was moved to Tennessee.

A New Beginning

In 1999, the team began a new era under the name Tennessee Titans and in a show of support football fans bought a number of Tennessee Titans tickets. The Titans did not disappoint and played some of their best football ever, finishing their first season with a fabulous 13-3 record.
